Job summary

Young Brothers is seeking an HR Business Partner to serve as the primary HR advisor for assigned units in Honolulu. The role partners with leaders to understand business needs, deliver HR solutions, and support performance and engagement across the organization.

You will independently handle employee relations, investigations, recruiting, onboarding, and workforce planning. Collaboration with Legal, Labor Relations, and HR teams is essential to ensure compliant, effective HR practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field required.
• Minimum seven years of exempt-level HR experience including HRBP or senior HR generalist.
• Experience independently conducting and documenting complex workplace investigations.
• Experience advising leaders on employee relations, recruiting, performance management, and workforce planning.
• Strong knowledge of federal and Hawaii employment laws; union experience helpful.

Responsibilities

• Serves as the primary HR advisor for assigned units and work groups.
• Independently manages employee relations matters from intake through resolution.
• Leads recruiting, onboarding, and workforce planning for assigned teams.
• Coaches leaders on performance management and employee accountability.
• Partners with Legal, Labor Relations, and HR colleagues to drive HR initiatives.
