Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is seeking a HR Business Partner to deliver day-to-day HR support for multiple California facilities, including Cerritos, Ontario, and Corona. You will manage employee relations, performance and talent management, and HR metrics as a strategic partner to the business.

The role requires 3–5 years HR experience, a Bachelor's degree in HR/Business, and strong communication and analytical skills. Travel to facilities will be required as part of the role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; relevant experience considered in lieu of degree
• 3–5 years HR experience; SHRM/HRCI a plus
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
• Ability to investigate and resolve employee conflicts objectively
• Proficiency in MS Office and HRIS; detail-oriented and organized
• Ability to lead change and work under deadlines
• Team building and influencing capabilities
• Strong analytical/problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day HR support to multiple CA facilities (Cerritos, Ontario, Corona)
• Manage employee relations, performance and talent management, and HR metrics
• Drive continuous improvement of HR services as a strategic partner
• Partner with Talent Acquisition on recruiting and onboarding
• Investigate questions/complaints and resolve employee relations issues
• Conduct trainings on harassment, diversity, and employment law
• Support safety and performance excellence processes; travel as required
