Job summary

The position requires extensive HR experience, a relevant bachelor’s degree, and the ability to serve as Acting HR Director when needed.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of HR principles and employment law.
• Experience advising department leaders on employee relations and performance.
• Experience administering total rewards, leave, and risk management.
• Public sector or municipal HR experience preferred.
• Strong project management and cross-functional leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and evaluate HR department operations and initiatives.
• Lead employee relations, policy interpretation and performance management.
• Oversee talent acquisition, onboarding, and workforce planning.
• Administer total rewards programs, COBRA, and open enrollment.
• Coordinate workers' comp, safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Act as HR Director in the Director's absence.
