Job summary

Dover Food Retail (DFR) in Conyers, GA, seeks a Director of Human Resources to lead the HR team supporting three manufacturing plants and about 1,200 employees.

You will develop and execute HR strategy, manage talent, succession, and compensation programs, and partner with leaders to drive performance, compliance, and an inclusive culture.

Travel is approximately 25% and you will report to the VP of Human Resources.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Psychology, or related field.
• 5+ year experience leading an HR team/Center of Excellence.
• 10+ years of HR experience.
• 2+ years working with HRISs.

Responsibilities

• Leads HR team and serves as an effective resource for employees to ensure clear communication and alignment to company employee relations goals and initiatives.
• Provides consultation to the business and employees on all aspects of human resources strategy and policy.
• Builds relationships with business leaders, managers, and the corporate HR team(s) to help drive successful people strategies and programs.
• Identifies key development needs and develop project plans and timelines for design and delivery.
• Identifies opportunities and recommends/drives change management strategies to increase performance, reduce cost, and positively impact both HR and the business.
• Supports the performance management program for the organization to aid leadership with goal deployment and cascading organizational goals throughout the employee base.
• Coach managers in leadership skills and employee interactions to ensure a positive and high-performance culture.
• Partners with key leaders on critical, strategic hires and serves a consultative resource, active member, and a trusted advisor to the organization.
• Assures that operations are conducted in accordance with the Code of Ethics and Standards of Business Conduct and applicable law and regulation; takes lead role in corrective action necessary to restore conformity with ethical and compliance standards; serves as role model and actively fosters employee awareness and compliance with the Code of Ethics.
• Supports talent management initiatives including recruiting, performance management, diversity and inclusion, employee training, organizational development, compensation programs, and succession planning. Ensures efforts are synchronized with corporate organizational development/organizational effectiveness initiatives.
• Provides oversight for HR leaders across DFR and ensures issues and customer needs are handled in RIGHT and FAST
• Ensures that the company has effective communication systems including the use of technology, coaching business leaders, and providing helpful, compliant written materials
• Ensures the accuracy of HRIS and payroll for all facilities
• Coordinates HR work with the EHS teams to ensure safe work environments and timely reporting and management of work-related accidents to the Worker’s Compensation Carrier
• Leverage’s learning agility and the ability to incorporate feedback from key stakeholders into meaningful project management plans
• Adding value to the team by utilizing your analytical capabilities and driving business objectives such as OPEX, Capacity and Growth
• Collaborates with key stakeholders to support metrics, track milestones, review projects and roll out programs
• Develops and implements changes as necessary to ensure projects meet time, cost and quality objectives
• Partners with other HR professionals across the organization to deliver critical business decisions
