Job summary

ISANA Academies in Los Angeles seeks a Director of Human Resources to lead the HR strategy, policy development, and the HR team. You will work closely with the executive team to support organizational goals, manage benefits, compensation, recruitment, performance management, and compliance.

The role oversees onboarding, training, and teacher credentialing, ensuring legal compliance and ethical standards across the district. Based in LA, this position reports to the Chief Operations Officer.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Education, Organizational Psychology or related field.
• 5-7 years HR experience with 2-3 years in HR management.
• PHR or SPHR designation preferred.
• Experience with California charter schools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic direction for HR functions including benefits, compensation, recruitment, performance management, and compliance.
• Ensure clear company-wide communication of HR policies.
• Promote positive employee relations and ensure credentialing where needed.
• Oversee credential tracking and annual employment agreements for teachers and staff.
