Job summary

The Human Resources Director at YWCA York leads all HR functions, aligning recruitment, compensation, benefits, training, and compliance with the organization's mission to empower women and eliminate racism.

Reporting to the CEO, you will partner with the Senior Leadership Team to design inclusive HR strategies, drive DEI initiatives, manage performance programs, ensure regulatory compliance, and oversee employee development and engagement across the association.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• PHR Certification or equivalent preferred.
• Five years HR experience with at least 12 months managing an HR function; nonprofit experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead recruitment and onboarding across staff positions.
• Oversee compensation and benefits administration, including annual reviews.
• Develop and implement DEI initiatives across HR practices.
• Partner with leadership to identify workforce needs and talent plans.
• Implement performance management systems and employee development programs.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.
