Job summary

K&I Healthcare Services, LLC seeks a Human Resources & Compliance Specialist to provide strategic HR leadership, drive talent acquisition, employee relations, benefits, and performance management across our Maryland campuses.

The role oversees HRIS implementation, regulatory compliance (HIPAA, COMAR OMHC, CARF), and labor relations, partnering with leadership to promote a compliant, inclusive, and safe workplace.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required; material, demonstrated successful experience may be considered instead of Master’s degree.
• At least ten (10) years’ experience in HR with five (5) years’ experience managing HR staff in a medium-sized organization.
• Thorough knowledge of best practices in HR and applicable federal, state, and local laws (Title VII, ADA, FLSA, FMLA, ERISA, IRS, INS, Title IX).
• Familiarity with HR management systems and overall technological proficiency.
• Professional In Human Resources (Required); SHRM Certified Professional (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Run HR operations including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, compensation, benefits, and retention.
• Ensure compliance with federal and Maryland employment laws and maintain compliant personnel files.
• Oversee credentialing, licensure, and training; lead HRIS/system implementation and reporting.
• Lead a staff of HR professionals delivering services to the campus community; manage program feedback and efficiency.
• Design recruitment strategies with campus admins to attract qualified candidates; guide hiring managers through interviews.
• Foster communications between employees and management, resolve conflicts, and oversee annual performance reviews.
