Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking an Assistant Chief Financial Officer to join our team and advance financial leadership in a mission-driven health system.

The role develops and implements departmental goals, monitors budgets, coordinates audits, and ensures compliant financial reporting in support of high-quality patient care.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
• CPA certification preferred.
• MBA or Master’s degree preferred.
• Healthcare finance experience is advantageous.

• Plan and monitor staffing activities including hiring and continuing education.
• Prepare and monitor departmental budgets and ensure funding compliance.
• Administer general accounting and patient business services including third-party reimbursement.
• Coordinate internal and external audits.
• Provide direction in data processing and medical records functions.
• Ensure timely preparation of internal financial reports reflecting the hospital’s position.

How you'll contribute

The Assistant Chief Financial Officer develops and implements departmental goals, plans, and standards consistent with the clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization.

Other duties include:

• Plans and monitors staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives.
• Prepares, monitors, and evaluates departmental budgets, and ensures that the department operates in compliances with allocated funding.
• Administers the general accounting, patient business services, including third party reimbursement, financial, and statistical reporting functions of the hospital in accordance with established policies and accounting procedures.
• Provides informal direction in data processing, distributed systems, material management and medical records functions.
• Assures the timely and accurate preparation of financial reports and assures that the reports reliably reflect the financial position of the hospital.
• Directs the preparation of internal financial reports including work papers for annual financial audit.
• Coordinates and directs internal/external audits.
• Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth.
  

Education

Bachelor's degree required; CPA or Master's degree strongly preferred.

Licenses: CPA preferred
