Job summary

Takeda is seeking a Head of Analytical Data & Statistics in our Boston area to lead statistical strategy and analytics across programs. The role partners with cross-functional teams to embed analytics into study design, ensure data integrity, and drive scalable insights using modern tools.

The candidate will guide governance of data standards, implement AI-assisted analytics where appropriate, and develop capabilities through coaching and training of the team.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in statistics, biostatistics, data science, or related field.
• Experience in statistical analysis and data management within biotech/pharma industry.
• Experience with analytical development in biologics and/or small molecules preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead Analytical Data & Statistics team to deliver high-quality data analysis and reporting.
• Develop and implement advanced statistical methods and frameworks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate analytics into study design and decisions.
• Oversee data collection, architecture, validation, and quality control for regulatory compliance.
• Drive adoption of analytics tools and automation; ensure scalable insights.
• Present findings to senior leadership to guide strategy and prioritization.
• Mentor and train team members in statistical techniques.
• Ensure governance and regulatory alignment for data management.
