Alta Resource Technologies in Boulder, CO is seeking a Business Development & Special Projects Manager to bridge commercial strategy and early-stage projects. You will lead cross-functional initiatives, build financial models, evaluate feedstock opportunities, and support go-to-market strategies, reporting to leadership.

This hybrid/in-person role requires strong analytical and communication skills, with focus on strategic analysis and hands-on execution in a high-impact setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in engineering, operations, or business.
• 5+ years of professional experience in analytics-driven roles (consulting, corporate finance, operations).
• Proficiency in financial modeling, including DCF and scenario analysis.
• Ability to read process diagrams, mass balances, and cost estimates.
• Experience with project finance structures and cross-functional leadership.
• Strong written and verbal communication for technical-financial tradeoffs.

Responsibilities

• Business Development: forecast ROI scenarios by integrating techno-economic models with CAPEX/OPEX and revenue projections.
• Develop analyses for pilot and commercial-scale deployments with capital and operating costs.
• Support evaluation of new feedstock and partnerships through economic modeling.
• Conduct market and competitive analyses in rare earths, recycling, and related tech.
• Prepare investor materials and government proposals with quantitative insights.
• Contribute to go-to-market strategies and licensing/joint venture analyses.
• Analyze new mineral markets, pricing benchmarks, and value propositions.
