Job summary

Cleco is seeking a Corporate Development Analyst II to support enterprise growth through strategic, operational, and financial analyses related to large-load customer recruitment, site development, and energy infrastructure opportunities.

The role involves due diligence, feasibility analyses, and building business cases to inform long-term growth strategies, with collaboration across internal teams and senior management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field.
• 3-5+ years of utility or related experience in Strategic Initiatives, Project Management, or Finance.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to present complex information clearly.

Responsibilities

• Support the planning, scheduling, execution, and monitoring of commercial opportunities with milestones.
• Develop business cases using complex financial models to evaluate potential transactions.
• Collaborate with internal/external stakeholders to align with growth objectives.
• Prepare presentations communicating findings to senior leadership and stakeholders.
• Assist with land strategy, site development, and data center opportunities.
• Support site selection, permitting considerations, and feasibility analyses.
