Job summary

AMD is seeking a Director of Corporate Strategy & Partnerships based in Santa Clara, CA to shape long-term strategic direction. You’ll partner with executives, CTO Office, and engineering to assess market opportunities, guide planning, and identify growth through partnerships and investments.

The role requires a strategic thinker with technical and executive presence, capable of translating complex data into actionable recommendations and influencing across functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business field; MBA preferred.
• MBA or similar graduate credential is preferred.
• Combination of technical and business education strongly desired.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate AMD’s competitive position and assess product roadmaps against emerging technology and market trends.
• Develop strategic recommendations addressing gaps across CPUs, GPUs, AI accelerators, networking, and adjacent markets.
• Analyze market, technical, financial, and customer data to support executive decision-making and planning.
• Drive strategic assessments of emerging industry trends and recommend actions strengthening AMD’s long-term position.
• Identify growth opportunities, evaluate market adjacencies, and develop market-entry strategies with business teams.
• Conduct competitive intelligence and benchmark AMD’s technology position.
• Lead strategic research initiatives and facilitate executive discussions on opportunities.
• Evaluate startups, partnerships, and investment opportunities with AMD’s venture teams.
• Support long-range planning including TAM development and strategic growth planning.
• Prepare and deliver executive-level presentations and business cases.
• Lead and support M&A, corporate development, and partnership activities.
• Collaborate across functions to align engineering investments with corporate objectives.
