Job summary

Rover seeks a seasoned Director of Corporate Development to own end-to-end deal lifecycle from sourcing to integration. You will collaborate with the VP and executives to evaluate acquisitions and partnerships, build rigorous financial models, and shape strategic value for Rover's growth.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years in corporate development or M&A, strong modeling skills, and proven ability to manage complex negotiations and stakeholder relationships in a fast-growing tech environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of corporate development and/or M&A experience, in-house or advisory.
• Ability to articulate strategic value of transactions.
• Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and synergy estimation.
• Ability to test assumptions and manage deal risk.
• End-to-end deal lifecycle experience: sourcing, diligence, negotiation, integration.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, negotiate, and execute acquisitions and strategic partnerships with senior stakeholders.
• Develop investment theses and strategic rationale for targets.
• Build financial models, scenarios, and integration cost forecasts.
• Coach juniors on financial modeling and deal processes.
• Define integration plans and success criteria post-close.
• Monitor industry landscape and establish executive relationships.
