Job summary

MilliporeSigma is seeking a Strategy Development Manager for the Process Solutions group. The role reports to the Head of Strategy and Market Insights and works across marketing, R&D, franchise, and operations in a global context from our Burlington, MA site.

Hybrid options are available, with weekly onsite requirements. You will develop data-driven market insights, define growth opportunities, build business cases with financial models, and partner with the Business Development team to

Qualifications

B.A./B.S. in life science or engineering required.
Advanced degree in a quantitative field preferred (MBA/Masters/PhD).
At least 3 years of experience required, with 2+ years in management consulting.
Solid understanding of pharma/life science space.

Responsibilities

Support the strategy development process within Process Solutions (PS).
Identify market, industry and customer trends for BioProcessing.
Define and prioritize growth opportunities and strategic options.
Develop business plans for new initiatives, including financial modeling.
Collaborate with market intelligence, strategy, and operations teams to ground plans in facts.
Support M&A prioritization and target assessment with Business Development.
Lead strategic projects across functions and PS, leveraging cross‑functional resources.
Build strong relationships across Merck Life Science for alignment.
