Job summary

Coalition for Asian American Children and Families (CACF) seeks a strategic Director of Development and Communications in a hybrid NYC role. You will lead private philanthropy, cultivate major gifts and foundations, and oversee communications to advance CACF's mission.

Reporting to Co-Executive Directors, you will build systems, dashboards, and partnerships to support long-term growth, while expanding the donor base and ensuring equity remains at the core of CACF's work.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of nonprofit fundraising leadership.
• Demonstrated success securing major institutional and philanthropic support.
• Experience supervising staff and partnering with nonprofit boards.
• Track record of creativity and strategic thinking in fundraising requests.
• Experience creating multi-year fundraising strategies and budgets.
• Excellent writing, speaking, relationship-building, and project management skills.
• Experience with donor CRM systems, Google Suite, and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy across foundations, major gifts, annual giving, corporations, events, planned giving, and digital fundraising.
• Cultivate, solicit, and steward donors with senior leadership involvement.
• Lead institutional fundraising, grant proposals and reporting, and donor stewardship.
• Oversee the annual gala and other donor cultivation events.
• Build systems and SOPs for Development and Communications teams.
• Create fundraising dashboards, KPIs, forecasts, and pipeline reports.
• Lead CACF’s communications and marketing to boost visibility and fundraising support.
• Manage special campaigns (e.g., 40th Anniversary).
• Supervise communications staff, consultants, and future hires.
