Job summary

The City of Denton seeks a Grant and Funding Programs Manager to oversee all aspects of grant operations, including budgeting, compliance, reporting, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders. This role ensures funds are used in accordance with federal, state, and local requirements and aligns funding with city priorities.

Responsibilities include managing grant budgets, developing applications, monitoring expenditures, and presenting funding updates to City Council.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field.
• 5 years’ experience in grants management, contract management and monitoring, grant proposal writing, cost-of-service analysis and rate setting, or related field.
• 1 year of management or supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and monitor the financial and operational activities for grant programs, including budget preparation, adjustments, expenditures, and reimbursements to ensure compliance with guidelines.
• Ensure grant compliance for Federal, State, and Local statutes; coordinate with stakeholders to achieve compliance.
• Notify leadership of non-compliance issues and provide an action plan to address them.
• Develop forms, processes, procedures, and policies to implement a compliant grant application methodology; manage administrative budget changes.
• Research funding opportunities and align sources with City priorities; collaborate on loan resources.
• Monitor proposals and funding requirements to maximize grant resources.
• Lead internal staff committee meetings and provide administrative support to committees.
• Compile and maintain grant data; oversee Hotel Occupancy Tax and Sponsorship funds and reporting.
