Job summary

Ensign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense Company is seeking a Director, Govt Pricing and Proposals to lead EBAD’s proposal development, government pricing, cost estimating, and government accounting. You will report to the VP Finance and build a scalable, compliant function across locations.

The role focuses on improving proposal quality, pricing discipline, audit readiness, and cycle time while developing future site leaders and aligning with EBOS principles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in aerospace & defense or government contracting.
• Experience leading complex proposal efforts and pricing strategies for government contracts.
• Strong knowledge of FAR, DFARS, Truthful Cost or Pricing Data (TINA), indirect rates, and DCAA/DCMA requirements.
• CPA, CMA, MBA, APMP, or equivalent advanced credential preferred.
• Experience building, leading, and developing teams, including cross-functional leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead the enterprise Proposal Development organization across all business locations.
• Own the proposal development value stream from opportunity transition to submission.
• Establish standard work for planning, BOE development, reviews, and submission.
• Improve proposal quality, cycle time, and on-time delivery.
• Develop pricing governance, forward pricing, and cost estimating capabilities.
