Job summary

Ziply Fiber Local Government Relations Manager is sought to lead government and community engagement across jurisdictions. You will navigate permitting, right‑of‑way, and construction coordination while helping to deliver builds on time and on budget.

You will cultivate strategic relationships with mayors, city councils, utilities, and chambers of commerce, translating policy into actionable plans and ensuring alignment with local requirements and community needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree as listed in required qualifications.
• 3–5 years of experience working with local governments or public agencies on capital projects, land use, right‑of‑way, permitting, or municipal infrastructure.
• Experience navigating governmental processes, municipal codes, and utility coordination across multiple jurisdictions.
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply city ordinances, municipal codes, and construction standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Engage with local leadership to resolve issues related to right‑of‑way, permitting, pole attachment, and similar items with cities, counties, and third parties.
• Collaborate with local leadership to resolve known issues and ensure timely resolutions.
• Keep teams informed about field issues, community inquiries, and service levels.
• Act as primary liaison between Ziply Fiber and local government entities.
• Build and maintain relationships with chambers of commerce and economic development groups.
• Identify solutions and remove obstacles to keep projects on track.
• Review and interpret right‑of‑way agreements, municipal codes, and construction standards to guide field teams.
• Track progress and report local market results with clear leadership visibility.
