Job summary

Syngenta in Washington, DC is seeking a Government Relations Manager to lead policy advocacy and regulatory engagement. You will represent the company before Congress and federal agencies, coordinate with the Director of Federal Affairs and the Head of Public Affairs, NA, and shape public policy aligned with Syngenta's business goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Government, Public Administration, Political Science, or related field.
• 5 years of proven experience in a public affairs function or public relations.
• Experience developing coalitions of interested stakeholders to achieve results.
• Experience advocating before Congress and Executive Agencies.
• Experience with all branches of the federal government.
• Ability and desire to work across multiple time zones, countries, and cultures.
• Values a global audience with varied perspectives.

Responsibilities

• Drive policy outcomes that align with Syngenta's objectives.
• Build and maintain relationships with government officials, industry associations, and advocacy groups.
• Analyze policy developments and conduct research; prepare talking points and materials.
• Monitor federal and state legislative activity; provide timely updates to leadership.
• Assist with management of Syngenta’s PAC.
• Assist in planning and execution of events, meetings, and briefings.
• Network with peer companies and stakeholders.
• Contribute to the strategic planning and execution of the government relations program in North America.
