Job summary

Nutrien, a global leader in crop inputs and services, seeks a Government & Industry Affairs Manager in the Washington, DC area to advance public policy objectives and protect business interests through strategic engagement with government, industry, and regulatory stakeholders.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Global Government & Industry Affairs, this role leads advocacy efforts, analyzes policy developments, and collaborates with senior leadership to shape and execute government affairs

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in government affairs and public policy roles.
• Experience with policy-making processes on Capitol Hill or in executive agencies or trade associations.
• Proven ability to build relationships with elected officials, regulators, and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute US federal government and industry affairs strategy.
• Lead lobbying efforts on transportation, tax, broadband, biofuels and related issues.
• Interact with senior government leaders and represent Nutrien to diverse stakeholders.
• Serve on industry committees or boards and coordinate with customers and partners.
• Manage relationships with congressional staff, agency leaders, and department officials.
• Collaborate with corporate functions to align policy with business goals.
• Shape corporate positioning and advocacy to achieve business objectives.
