Job summary

Bering Straits Professional Services, LLC (BSPS) is seeking a Buyer located in Oahu, HI. The role requires relocation not available and the candidate must reside in Hawaii at the time of hire.

The wage range is $41.94 per hour, with applicants notified within ten business days of submittal. The successful candidate will serve as the point of contact for all micro and macro commodity procurement activities, ensure FAR and procurement compliance, and manage vendor communications and purchase

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of experience in a similar procurement role.
• 1 year of experience using procurement software.
• 1 year of experience on a government contract.
• Extensive knowledge of FAR regulations and procurement processes.

Responsibilities

• Point of contact for all micro and macro commodity procurement activities.
• Review procurement activities for FAR and procurement compliance.
• Communicate with vendors during procurement solicitation processes.
• Participate in procurement meetings and progress reports.
• Issue BPAs and POs for commodity purchases.
• Create, modify and closeout Purchase Orders.
• Issue urgent and emergency POs to support operations.
• Ensure accuracy of CAP Reports.
