Job summary

Larson Maddox is seeking an experienced trade and customs professional to lead global compliance initiatives across international operations. You will partner with legal, supply chain, tax, finance, and executive leadership to manage trade-related risk and support business objectives.

Responsibilities include leading classification, valuation, origin determinations, and duty optimization; overseeing FTAs including USMCA; and developing policies and training to strengthen compliance.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in trade compliance, customs, import/export, or related regulatory functions.
• Strong expertise in customs classification, valuation, tariffs, duty reduction programs, and free trade agreements, including USMCA.
• Experience advising senior leadership on trade compliance strategy and risk management.
• Knowledge of international customs regulations and cross-border trade operations.
• Ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives in a global environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Law, Supply Chain, International Trade, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and enhance the company's global trade and customs compliance program.
• Advise leaders on tariff developments, customs regulations, and international trade risks.
• Oversee customs classification, valuation, country of origin determinations, and duty optimization.
• Manage compliance with free trade agreements, including USMCA, and related documentation.
• Provide guidance on cross-border trade matters and regulatory challenges.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to address import/export compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Support government audits, customs inquiries, and regulatory examinations.
• Monitor changes in trade laws and assess business impacts.
• Develop policies, procedures, and training to strengthen compliance.
• Manage relationships with external advisors, customs authorities, and industry groups.
