Job summary

Atlanta Beltline, Inc. seeks a GIS & Data Analytics Manager to transform spatial and organizational data into actionable insights for planning, operations, and decision-making.

You will lead enterprise GIS resources, analytics, and visualization efforts across departments. Reporting to the Director of Impact & Evaluation, the role drives data quality, automation, and evidence-based strategies while collaborating with external vendors and partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• 5+ years of GIS/spatial analytics, data analytics, BI or related experience.
• Experience with enterprise GIS environments and Python and/or R.
• Experience writing SQL queries and working with relational databases.
• Ability to analyze large complex datasets and communicate findings clearly.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain Atlanta Beltline's enterprise GIS datasets, geodatabases, feature services, and metadata.
• Develop and enforce GIS standards, templates, symbology, and data governance practices.
• Perform advanced spatial analyses to support planning, housing, transit, and community engagement.
• Coordinate external vendors and contractors on GIS projects, timelines and QA.
• Analyze large datasets using Python, R, SQL, Excel; develop automated workflows.
• Develop dashboards and reports; translate analyses into clear visuals and recommendations.
• Partner with departments to understand business needs and provide analytical services.
• Deliver insights to support decision-making and organizational priorities.
