Duke Alumni Engagement and Development seeks an Associate Director of Gift Planning to advise Duke’s development officers and collaborate with schools and programs on complex and deferred gifts. You will serve as a strategic fundraiser and gift planning expert across Duke's community, identifying opportunities and delivering charitable solutions to inspire philanthropic investments.

The role emphasizes collaboration with attorneys, accountants, and financial advisors, plus travel and occasional

Competenze

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and seven years in legal, accounting, alumni relations, fundraising, or related field.
Experience developing and coordinating charitable gift plans to promote planned gifts.
JD/CFP/CPA or advanced degree preferred.

Mansioni

Develop and manage a portfolio of gift planning prospects and donors.
Draft and review documents, illustrations, proposals, and endowment agreements.
Collaborate with Duke schools, units, and programs on gift planning strategies.
Plan stewardship events and contribute to gift planning publications.
Travel locally, regionally, and nationally; attend evening/weekend activities as needed.
