Job summary

DT Midstream is seeking an engineer with an intermediate level of expertise to support planning and optimization of natural gas facilities, pipelines and related services. The role involves selecting routes, equipment specifications, and contributing to tariff and service offerings in a fast-paced environment.

Qualified candidates have a Bachelor’s in Engineering (Chemical or Mechanical) and at least 3 years of relevant experience, with familiarity in pipelines, metering and simulation tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferably Chemical or Mechanical)
• Level II - 3 years of related experience
• Proficiency with Excel, Word, Visio and Access database
• Experience with Synergi software is a plus
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Critical thinking with ability to work in a fast-paced office environment
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively

Responsibilities

• Apply intermediate-level engineering knowledge to natural gas facilities including pipelines, metering systems, valves and processing units.
• Evaluate pipeline systems using simulation models to assess service requests and optimize operations.
• Analyze daily pipeline operations to forecast performance and identify underutilized capacity.
• Develop and monitor daily operational plans to ensure efficient gas movement and contract compliance.
• Prepare technical reports and summaries for cross-functional teams and leaders.
• Coordinate with internal departments and stakeholders with minimal supervision.
• Identify engineering or operational challenges and propose data-driven solutions.
• Support development of project budgets and CI initiatives.
• Contribute to project documentation and long-term facility plans.
