Job summary

The U.S. Space & Rocket Center Education Foundation (USSRCEF) seeks an Executive Director to lead a staff of eight, drive fundraising at national level, and oversee programs, operations, and strategic planning in Huntsville, Alabama.

This role will spearhead a major capital campaign to fund two buildings, cultivate donors, ensure IRS compliance, and align development plans with the USSRC mission.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• CFRE designation desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead the USSRCEF and eight-person staff; oversee daily operations and strategic planning.
• Direct a major, multi-year capital campaign to fund two buildings.
• Cultivate donor relationships and expand philanthropic support.
• Represent and market the Foundation in the global community; ensure IRS compliance.
• Work with USSRC CEO and Board to align fundraising with USSRC mission.

Education
