LFCS in St. Louis, MO, seeks a Development and Events Officer to translate our mission into donor relationships and drive fundraising impact in the community.

You'll plan and execute fundraising events, manage major gifts portfolios, and cultivate relationships with donors, volunteers, sponsors, and vendors to support LFCS programs and services. This professional, full-time role requires strong project management, contract review, and collaboration across teams to reach revenue goals and mission

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, business, or a related field.
• Two years' experience in fundraising, major gifts solicitation, or sales preferred.
• Experience planning and managing fundraising events.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and execute fundraising events from start to finish.
• Provide full project management for events.
• Negotiate and manage event-related contracts.
• Guide internal teams on event execution and donor engagement.
• Grow a portfolio of major gifts through cultivation and stewardship.
• Identify and engage new prospective donors and strengthen relationships.
• Build relationships with donors, volunteers, sponsors, and vendors.
• Directly solicit financial contributions for organizational priorities.
