Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics seeks a Sr. Manager, Strategic FP&A to lead long-range planning, build robust financial models, and drive continuous improvement in FP&A processes. You will partner with leadership to evaluate trade-offs and resource allocations, and to communicate scenarios across senior teams.

You will own the governance of financial models, deliver analytics for strategic initiatives, and oversee the integration of advanced planning tools and processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting or related field required.
• MBA or professional credentials (MBA, CPA, CFA) preferred.
• 7–10 years of FP&A/financial strategy experience.
• Excel and PowerPoint proficiency required.
• Experience with enterprise financial systems (S4/HANA, Anaplan, HFM, Essbase, OneStream).
• Ability to craft data-driven presentations and business cases.

Responsibilities

• Support the company’s long-range planning (LRP) process, including scenario models, sensitivities, and risk analysis.
• Ensure initiative financial impacts are incorporated accurately in planning outputs.
• Assess and refine key assumptions to improve forecast accuracy.
• Provide financial analysis to support leadership in evaluating trade-offs, risks, and value creation opportunities.
• Contribute to capital allocation and resource planning, including capex planning and investment prioritization.
• Apply financial frameworks to evaluate investment proposals, portfolio opportunities, and ROI.
• Drive FP&A improvement initiatives (process optimization, automation, enhanced analytics).
• Support scalable tools, standardized processes, and upgraded reporting.
• Prepare analyses and materials for management/leadership meetings; communicate scenarios to senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
• Partner with Corporate Financial Analysis to ensure consistent data, aligned assumptions, and reliable forecasting.
• Maintain governance over financial models, metrics, and planning processes.
