Job summary

Rocket in Detroit seeks a Principal Financial Analyst to analyze and forecast financial, economic, and operational data to inform strategic decisions. You will partner with business units to track performance against goals and provide timely insights; a high-level individual contributor role.

Responsibilities include preparing monthly reports, analyzing expenditures, depreciation and investments, forecasting performance, and presenting findings in executive-ready formats.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of financial planning and analysis experience.
• Strong executive presence and ability to communicate effectively with executives.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or economics.
• Experience leveraging AI tools in finance (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Analyze expenditures, depreciation, and investments; advise actions on financial plans and controls.
• Prepare and present monthly financial reports for internal partners and executives.
• Collect and analyze financial information for assigned business units to track progress against goals.
• Forecast financial and economic performance to inform decisions.
• Identify and apply new methods of analysis and presentation.
• Serve as a finance SME and consult with business partners to drive sound financial decisions.
