Job summary

CDM Smith Inc. seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to act as a strategic business partner, guiding decisions that drive growth and profitability.

You will lead planning, forecasts, and project financial management, translating data into insights for leadership and cross-functional teams. You'll build dashboards, analyze performance, and support revenue recognition, with expertise in Power BI, Excel, and Oracle ERP.

Qualifications

Experience in FP&A, corporate finance, project accounting, or a related financial role.
Strong budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and performance analysis skills.
Knowledge of revenue recognition principles and project financial management.
Ability to translate complex financial data into actionable recommendations.
Experience partnering with leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to drive performance.
Advanced Excel and financial modeling; proficiency with office tools.
Experience with finance reporting, KPI development, and BI reporting.
Experience with Power BI or similar BI tools; Oracle ERP or similar systems.

Responsibilities

Partner with leadership to provide financial insights, forecasting, and growth recommendations.
Lead budgeting, forecasting, modeling, and long-range planning processes.
Analyze revenue, profitability, project margins, and key metrics.
Monitor project financial performance, identify risks, and propose improvements.
Support revenue recognition, contract review, billing, and compliance activities.
Develop executive dashboards, KPI reporting, and management presentations.
Support controls and process improvements across the business.
Leverage Power BI, Oracle ERP, and Excel for reporting and analytics.
