Job summary

OpenAI seeks a Director of Compute & Infrastructure FP&A to lead monthly forecasting for one of the company’s largest cost centers. You will partner with Finance, Accounting, Tax, Engineering, and Corporate FP&A to turn infrastructure plans into clear financial forecasts and investment decisions.

The role supports long-range planning, ROI analysis, and performance tracking to guide leadership through uncertainties, with a focus on build-versus-buy, capacity planning, and capital deployment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in strategic finance or FP&A leadership.
• 2+ years in investment banking.
• Experience leading FP&A at corporate or business-unit level at significant scale.
• Experience with large-scale infra/cloud spend including AWS, GCP, Azure.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly financial planning and forecasting for compute & infrastructure.
• Build consolidation models for capacity, utilization, and capital deployment.
• Translate roadmaps into annual and long-range financial plans.
