Job summary

The Judge Group is seeking a hands-on Procurement Manager in Pasadena, CA to source raw proteins, ingredients, packaging, and supplies, while leading supplier relationships and cost strategies. The role partners with senior leadership to forecast demand, optimize inventory, and ensure USDA/GMP/HACCP compliance, using ERP/MRP tools to drive procurement analytics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or related field.
• 5+ years procurement/purchasing experience, ideally in food/protein manufacturing.
• Strong ERP/MRP experience (Canopy or similar).
• Solid financial acumen (cost analysis, variances, margins).
• Knowledge of USDA/GMP/HACCP preferred.
• Strong negotiation and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead sourcing/procurement strategy for raw materials and packaging
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and supplier agreements
• Manage supplier performance, KPIs, and risk mitigation
• Forecast demand and optimize inventory levels
• Collaborate cross-functionally (Ops, QA, Sales, Finance)
• Ensure USDA/food safety compliance on all purchased materials
• Utilize ERP/MRP systems for procurement and inventory analytics
