Job summary

Goodwill Southeast Georgia is seeking a Fixed Asset & Capex Analyst to manage accounting, reporting, analysis, control, and compliance of all capital assets and spending. You will oversee the fixed asset lifecycle, CIP projects, depreciation, asset inventories, and related reporting while collaborating with operational leadership for accurate accounting and strong controls.

Responsibilities include evaluating capitalization, tracking spending, ensuring asset transfers, maintaining depreciation

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in accounting is required and a minimum of 3 years of work experience in public/private Accounting is preferred.
Excellent knowledge in accounting and financial matters.
Proficiency in fixed asset and capex accounting.
Knowledgeable in GAAP policies and procedures.
Experience with ERP systems.
Solid understanding of balance sheet and income statement.
Advanced Excel skills.
Maintain proficiency with Microsoft Dynamics NAV and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

Reviews and monitors capital expenditure requests to align with budgets and strategies.
Partners with department leaders to evaluate capitalization of projects and acquisitions.
Tracks project spending against budgets and reports variances to management.
Ensures proper transfer from CIP to depreciable assets upon completion.
Maintains fixed asset policies and capitalization guidelines per GAAP.
