Responsibilities

• Manage the preparation and distribution of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Coordinate financial reporting activities across business units, subsidiaries, and other reporting entities.
• Ensure financial statements and supporting schedules comply with GAAP/IFRS and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reporting processes to ensure deadlines and reporting standards are consistently achieved.
• Analyze financial results, identify significant fluctuations, and prepare explanations of variances against budgets, forecasts, and prior periods.
• Maintain and enhance financial reporting procedures, accounting policies, and supporting documentation.
• Review general ledger activity, account reconciliations, journal entries, and balance sheet schedules for accuracy and completeness.
• Coordinate with external auditors and internal accounting personnel to facilitate audit requests and resolve reporting matters.
• Research technical accounting matters and assess the financial reporting implications of new accounting standards and business transactions.
• Develop and implement reporting improvements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and consistency across financial processes.
• Prepare financial reporting packages and presentations for executive leadership and other key stakeholders.
• Monitor compliance with internal controls and assist in identifying opportunities to strengthen financial reporting processes.
• Partner with FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Operations, and other departments to gather financial information and address reporting requirements.
• Support the preparation of statutory financial statements, regulatory filings, and other external reporting deliverables.
• Assist with acquisition accounting, financial due diligence, and the integration of acquired businesses into reporting structures.
• Identify opportunities to streamline reporting processes through automation, system enhancements, and improved reporting tools.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop financial reporting staff while establishing clear performance expectations and objectives.
• Support special projects and other accounting initiatives as assigned by the Corporate Controller or VP of Finance.
