Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a licensed financial advisor in Oakland to deliver tailored financial guidance and investment planning. You will engage clients, triage leads, and collaborate with internal partners to build comprehensive strategies that meet goals.

The role requires current securities licenses, experience in investments, and comfort with regulatory due diligence. Expect a Monday–Friday schedule with possible Saturday rotations and in-center training.

Qualifications

• Licensing: Series 7 and Series 66, or Series 63 and Series 65 in lieu of 66
• If Series 66 is missing, pass the missing series within 60 days after an offer
• At least 1 year in the investments industry with product knowledge
• At least 1 year in financial services or sales with goal attainment
• Strong abilities in relationship-building, communication, prioritization and regulatory due diligence
• High computer proficiency and multitasking in a fast-paced environment
• CFP and/or CRPC designations are desirable
• Insurance licenses are desired
• background check and SAFE Act registration are required

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive financial advice and customized solutions to clients
• Triage client leads and requests
• Refer clients to internal partners based on needs and assets
• Meet with clients to review financial and investment goals
• Build financial plans using brokerage products (stocks, bonds, mutual funds, annuities)
• Recommend banking and investment strategies aligned with client goals
• Mitigate and control risk in daily activities
• Identify and engage potential new clients through referrals and center clientele
• Coach and provide feedback to referral partners
• Complete required licenses and trainings
• Work Monday through Friday with rotating Saturdays
• Train at one financial center and possibly begin in a phone-based capacity until a center is determined within a reasonable commuting distance
