Job summary

Los Angeles County Office of Education is seeking a Financial Operations Consultant to plan, organize, and deliver technical consulting for school districts, community colleges, and other educational clients.

You will advise clients on budgeting, accounting, and financial reporting, train staff on compliant processes, and collaborate with LEAs to improve financial systems and operations across multiple entities within the county.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree recognized by CHEA or equivalent.
• Four years of professional accounting, budgeting, or financial analysis experience.
• One year in a supervisory capacity.
• Valid California driver’s license and availability of transportation between sites.
• Hybrid remote schedules may be available.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and conduct technical consulting and advisory services for LEAs in budgeting and financial management.
• Advise and train clients to comply with federal, state, and local requirements.
• Develop and evaluate systems and procedures to improve budgeting, financial, and operational processes.
