Job summary

Arnold & Porter is seeking a highly analytical Financial Analyst to join the Finance team in Denver. You will partner with attorneys, leadership, Marketing, and Finance to develop pricing strategies, evaluate alternative fee arrangements, and provide data-driven insights to support client value and firm growth.

This role requires strong modeling, reporting, and communication skills to impact profitability and strategic decision-making in a dynamic professional services environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
• Minimum of two years of legal pricing/FP&A or related financial-analysis experience.
• Strong financial modeling, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and dynamic modeling.
• Experience with business intelligence and data visualization tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with attorneys to develop pricing strategies and innovative fee arrangements.
• Create detailed matter budgets and financial models for hourly and alternative fee arrangements.
• Conduct sensitivity and scenario analyses on staffing mix, leverage, and profitability.
• Perform profitability and contribution-margin analyses at multiple organizational levels.
• Support pricing and budgeting components of RFP responses and client negotiations.
• Prepare monthly financial reports including KPI analyses for stakeholders.
• Develop ad hoc analyses, reports, and presentations for senior management.
