Starr Insurance Companies, a global leader in commercial insurance, seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to advise multiple Casualty business units. You will provide forward-looking financial analysis, influence decisions, and shape the financial direction while tracking actual performance and forecasting future trends.

The role emphasizes building a robust balance of KPIs using Power BI, maintaining internal controls, and identifying opportunities for long-term relationships.

Qualifications

• Strong finance and accounting skills with a command of insurance financial statements (income, balance sheet, cash flow) and risk-adjusted metrics.
• Understanding of U.S. Statutory Financial Accounting and U.S. GAAP reporting standards.
• Experience in Commercial Insurance and demonstrated ability to influence and engage stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Direct and develop financial analysis, insights, planning and forecasting.
• Utilize Power BI and other tools to develop a KPI scorecard for BU performance.
• Ensure integrity of accounting records and internal control framework activities.
• Identify, develop, and expand business opportunities and long-term strategic relationships.
• Prepare and manage business and performance reviews from the Finance perspective for the Casualty BU.
• Provide business insight and recommendations to address Plan gaps.
• Assist in developing and leading annual financial plans, including reserve analyses and budgets.
• Collaborate with management and executives daily.
