Job summary

ALEC Credit Union in Illinois seeks a Financial Analyst to produce critical analyses that support financial reporting, ALCO modeling, budgeting and profitability analysis. You will analyze financial information, prepare variance/forecast reports, and develop spreadsheets with charts to illustrate findings. Strong MS Office and GAAP knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to analyze and interpret financial and accounting data and summarize for leadership.
• Experience with GAAP and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools.

Responsibilities

• Maintain ALM software and monthly reports for Board, ALCO, Senior Management and RC reports.
• Analyze financial information to produce variance and forecast reports.
• Assemble spreadsheets and draw charts and graphs to illustrate financial information.
• Interpret data affecting investment programs, such as price, yield, stability, future trends in investment risks, and economic influences.
• Assists in the budget and reforecast process and maintains budget systems.
• Research investment alternatives and make recommendations to CFO.
