Job summary

ALEC is seeking a Finance Analyst to maintain ALM software, prepare monthly reports, and support variance/forecast analyses. The role requires strong accounting knowledge and the ability to translate data into clear business insights.

The candidate will assemble financial models, monitor market developments, and contribute to budget and reforecast activities within a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Able to analyze and interpret financial data and summarize for business leaders.
• Proficient in financial applications and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Demonstrates critical thinking and sound judgment.
• Knowledge of US GAAP and current debt markets.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Maintain ALM software and produce monthly reports (Board, ALCO, Senior Management, RC).
• Analyze financial information to produce variance and forecast reports.
• Assemble spreadsheets and create charts/graphs to illustrate financial data.
• Interpret data affecting investment programs (price, yield, risk, trends).
• Stay informed on developments in finance, economics and related theory.
• Monitor economic, industrial, and corporate developments from various sources.
• Assist in investment action plans based on financial analyses.
• Assist in budget and reforecast processes and maintain budget systems.
• Develop and distribute ad-hoc reports and financial models.
• Assist Accounting with correct application of GAAP.

Education

High School Diploma or GED

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
