Job summary

Moog Inc. in Buffalo, NY is seeking a Finance Business Partner for the Commercial OEM program portfolio. You will partner with Program Directors, Engineering and Planning to understand strategic objectives and drive program financial performance.

The role requires a BS in Finance, Accounting or related field, 7+ years in finance or auditing, and advanced Excel skills for financial modeling. You will forecast, monitor cost performance, prepare variance analyses, and present insights to leaders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.
• Minimum of seven years of experience in finance, accounting, and/or auditing.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex spreadsheets, advanced functions, and financial modeling
• Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment and adapt to changing priorities
• Ability to anticipate, identify, and resolve complex financial issues
• Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain customer-centric relationships

Responsibilities

• Partner closely with Program Directors, Program Managers, Engineering, and Planning leaders to understand strategic objectives and support execution of program commitments
• Develop program financial metrics and KPIs, monitor performance against commitments, and drive accountability for achieving financial objectives
• Support program forecasting, estimates at completion (EACs), cost performance monitoring, and risk and opportunity assessments
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities, including journal entries, reporting, and financial review processes
• Analyze financial results and prepare monthly and quarterly reports with variance analysis against forecast, plan, budget, and prior periods
• Develop and maintain financial dashboards, reporting tools, and analytics that improve visibility into program performance and key financial drivers
• Collaborate with finance teams across the organization to improve processes, communications, and reporting effectiveness
• Support annual budgeting activities and provide financial analysis for special projects, business cases, and investment evaluations
• Present financial insights and recommendations to functional leaders through reports, presentations, and meetings
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes, eliminate inefficiencies, and automate manual reporting activities
