Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent and 5 years of professional experience.
• Strong working knowledge of financial accounting and public budgeting specific to higher education.
• Ability to supervise staff, including training and evaluating team members.

Responsibilities

• Manage and review proposals, budgets, agreements, and contracts with internal and external constituencies.
• Prepare, submit, and manage financial transactions including journal vouchers and payroll.
• Develop positive working relationships with internal and external clients for organizational effectiveness.

Skills

Strong working knowledge of PeopleSoft

Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks

Strong working knowledge of Excel

Strong working knowledge of Word

Ability to work well with others and independently on projects

Ability to interpret UGA financial reports

Education
