Job summary

Columbia University in the City of New York's Columbia Center of Advanced Electrification seeks an experienced Manager of Finance and Operations to provide senior-level financial, operational, and programmatic leadership for a dynamic interdisciplinary research center.

Reporting to the Center’s Founding Director, you will oversee budgeting, pre/post-award administration with SPF, and strategic planning, coordinating with university offices and external partners to advance research and center

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
Minimum of 4–6 years of progressively responsible experience in administration, operations, finance, grants management, or related area.

Responsibilities

Provide senior-level financial and sponsored research leadership for the Center and serve as a strategic financial advisor to the Founding Director.
Leads the development and refinement of multi-year financial projections, budget models, forecasts, and scenario analyses.
Oversees pre-award and post-award administration for the Center’s sponsored research portfolio with SPF coordination.
Manages post-award changes, award modifications, and closeout activities to ensure compliance and timely reporting.
