Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking a Finance Manager to oversee CTSI's fiscal operations and strengthen financial health across programs. You will lead budget planning, reporting, and compliance while aligning research activities with strategic goals.

This role partners with CTSI leadership, the Director, and Administrative Director, supporting data management, forecasting, and strategic financial decisions across Ohio State and affiliated partners.

Qualifications

• Five years of financial/accounting experience required; 8–12 years preferred.
• Proficiency with Workday desired.
• Knowledge of University and grant fiscal policies and procedures desired.
• Strong quantitative skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Effective communication skills (written and oral).
• Demonstrated ability to use technology, including spreadsheets and complicated reporting systems.
• Requires successful completion of a background check.
• Pre-employment physical including a drug screen may be required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee CTSI fiscal operations and ensure timely processing of financial transactions.
• Monitor budgets, perform reconciliations, and provide variance analysis.
• Prepare financial reports and visualizations for senior leadership and stakeholders.
• Support forecasting, proposals, and program evaluations with data-driven insights.
• Develop policies to ensure compliance with federal, university, and medical center requirements.
• Collaborate with internal partners and grant subawards to manage funding.
