Job summary

Abbott’s Hollywood, FL location seeks a Finance Manager CALA to provide financial leadership across the CALA region with partners in BU and corporate functions. You will oversee planning, forecasting, and decision support to enable strategic initiatives and growth.

The role reports to the Structural Heart DVP Controller and requires strong analytical abilities, leadership, and English proficiency. The position emphasizes integrity, internal controls, and collaboration with cross-functional teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in financial reporting, cost accounting, internal controls and procedures, and/or project management.
• 2+ years’ experience managing teams (remote setup ok).
• Professional proficiency in English required.
• Spanish proficiency is a differentiator.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to manage market dynamics.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, forecasting, and performance management processes to deliver timely and actionable insights.
• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare analyses including income statement, working capital metrics, Capex, and key drivers with recommendations.
• Ensure balance sheet accounts are reconciled and explained; communicate findings for corrective actions.
• Establish internal controls, regulatory compliance, and governance across CALA countries.
• Serve as strategic FP&A partner to Commercial, Marketing, Supply Chain, Ops and cross-functional teams.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and KPI-driven performance.
• Coach finance staff to high performance and accountability.
• Validate quarterly/annual incentive compensation calculations and payout accuracy.
• Be the trusted adviser to regional leadership, guiding profitable growth and strategic priorities.
