Job summary

Valar Atomics in Torrance, CA is seeking a Senior Manager, Strategic Finance to lead corporate development, investor relations, and financing strategies for first-of-a-kind nuclear projects.

You will map markets, model deals, prepare memos, and coordinate diligence with executives and counsel, with travel to Utah pilot plant and partner sites. A background in IB/consulting in energy is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 8+ years of experience including 5+ years in energy-focused IB/consulting.
• Experience supporting end-to-end transactions (M&A, JV, project finance).
• Expert financial modeling and valuation; Excel proficiency.
• Proven ability to create executive-ready memos and decks.

Responsibilities

• Drive the corporate development agenda from market mapping to prioritization.
• Evaluate partnerships, ventures, and financing options; build analyses and recommendations.
• Build valuation, returns, and deal models with scenario analysis and capital structure.
• Support diligence with internal teams and outside advisors; manage timelines.
• Lead fundraising narratives, materials, and investor communications.
