Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Sr. Financial Analyst to partner with construction teams, delivering data center capacity on time and within budget.

You’ll work with cross-functional stakeholders—construction, engineering, program management, supply chain, data center operations, and finance—to drive cost savings, process improvements, and strong financial controllership. Qualifications

• 3+ years in tax, finance or related analytical field.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics or related analytical field.
• 3+ years contributing to cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy.
• 3+ years dissecting financial data to support business strategy.

Responsibilities

• Serve as part of the regional leadership team responsible for delivering high quality and robust decisions with favorable business outcomes.
• Become subject matter expert for data centre construction including cost drivers, pertinent technology roadmap, vendors, and specific regional / macroeconomic nuances.
• Establish annual/monthly performance targets, analyze variances to plan, and communicate key messages to senior leadership.
• Own the process of identifying defects, waste or inefficiencies in finance processes, and drive corrective action for and process improvement / automation to eliminate these defects and enable efficient business scaling.
• Identify and lead data centre construction cost savings initiatives.
• Approve/control data centre capital expenditure.
• Drive automation initiatives leveraging GenAI tools.
