Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC seeks a Sr. Financial Analyst to partner with construction teams delivering data center capacity on time and within budget, influencing strategic decisions with cross-functional stakeholders across operations, engineering, legal and finance.

You will own cost drivers, develop performance targets, identify efficiency opportunities, and drive automation including GenAI initiatives, with strong financial controllership and communication to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of tax, finance or related analytical field experience.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)
• 3+ years of contributing to cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy experience
• 3+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy experience
• 2+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience
• Experience using financial models, KPIs, and data analysis to support business decisions
• Experience with cube engine tools (e.g. TM1, Cognos or Essbase), SQL and Data warehouse
• Experience working with stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Serve as part of the regional leadership team responsible for delivering high quality and robust decisions with favorable business outcomes.
• Become subject matter expert for data center construction including cost drivers, pertinent technology roadmap, vendors, and specific regional / macroeconomic nuances.
• Establish annual/monthly performance targets, analyze variances to plan, and communicate key messages to senior leadership.
• Own the process of identifying defects, waste or inefficiencies in finance processes, and drive corrective action for and process improvement / automation to eliminate these defects and enable efficient business scaling.
• Identify and lead data center construction cost savings initiatives.
• Approve/control data center capital expenditure
• Drive automation initiatives leveraging GenAI tools
