Job summary

Northwestern University is seeking a Director of Financial Analysis to provide strategic financial leadership for the Division of Student Affairs. You will develop budgets, forecasts, and reporting tools, and translate financial data into actionable insights for division leadership.

You will manage complex financial operations including revenue, expense, labor, and contracts while ensuring internal controls and compliance with university policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, finance, or related; OR appropriate combination of education and experience.
• 8 years financial, budgeting and/or preparing account reconciliations or financial statements along with financial analysis or other relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and report on unit income and balance sheets using predefined analytical tools.
• Plan and manage complex budgets including resource allocation and forecasting.
• Ensure compliance of financial processes and strengthen internal controls.
• Coordinate year-end close and cross-unit transactions with Budget Office.
• Provide training and support to university units as needed.
