Job summary

TTI Insights is seeking a hands-on Controller to lead the accounting and finance function. You will report to the COO, work closely with the CEO, and guide strategic decisions on cash, forecasts, and growth.

You will run the close, manage a small team, and coordinate with external partners for tax, payroll, HR, benefits, legal, and insurance. A senior accounting leader with strong GAAP, forecasting, and ERP experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including at least 3 years leading an accounting team.
• Experience hiring and developing accounting staff.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and month-end and year-end close.
• Experience with forecasting, financial analysis, cash management, and banking relationships.
• Strong ERP experience, including integrations and process improvement.
• Working knowledge of tax compliance, payroll accounting, benefits, retirement plans, insurance, and entity compliance.
• Strong understanding of internal controls and financial risk management.

Responsibilities

• Own the accuracy and timeliness of all accounting and financial reporting.
• Lead and actively participate in month-end and year-end close, including reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and financial statement preparation.
• Deliver monthly financials to leadership within 10 business days of month end.
• Review the team's work, handle complex entries directly, and serve as final approver of the close.
• Build and maintain the annual budget, cash flow forecast, and net income forecast.
• Create and report financial and operational KPIs to the COO, CEO, and leadership team.
• Provide clear analysis and recommendations on pricing, hiring, investments, and operations.
• Manage banking relationships, credit facilities, and covenant compliance.
• Oversee daily cash management and short-term cash forecasting.
• Establish and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls, including segregation of duties and approval limits.
• Oversee sales tax (Arizona Transaction Privilege Tax), payroll tax compliance, and income tax coordination with our outside CPA firm.
• Own corporate governance and entity compliance, working with legal and tax advisors.
• Provide financial oversight of payroll, employee benefits, and the 401(k) plan with outsourced providers.
• Oversee the company's insurance program, renewals, and related financial matters.
• Own NetSuite and related financial systems.
• Lead implementations, integrations, automation, and process improvements.
• Lead, coach, and develop the team through clear goals, regular feedback, and cross-training.
• Plan the team's structure and capacity as the company grows.
